Doug is another member of our college fraternity, along with Eric and Paul, with whom I always got along.  Doug had the ability to be both the devil and the angel on the shoulder at times when it came to decisions in college.  There was many a time when Doug was the voice of reason and kept the group out of trouble.  There were also times when Doug needed a little help in seeing the positive in the situation.  Either way, Doug was always some one to talk to when the answer just wasn’t clear.  He is always willing to listen to the problems of anyone willing to share them and provide a genuine audience concerned about the well being of the storyteller.  Him being here is important because he is a man of his word and I know he will keep me to mine.  Doug is a great friend and a great person, but he would never tell you that. He is humble and kind and I’m fortunate to have him with me.
